Top Down
This feature allows the shade to be lowered from the top rather than lifted from the bottom. This is also an ideal choice for bedrooms and bathrooms because light can be allowed in at the top of the window without compromising privacy. Top Down shades are only available with the Standard Cord Lock Operating System.
Top Down Bottom Up
This feature allows the shade to be both lifted from the bottom and lowered from the top, and is an ideal choice for bedrooms and bathrooms because light can be allowed in at the top of the window without compromising privacy at the bottom. Please note this Operating System is only available with the Flat Roman Shade style shades.
Continuous Cord Loop
This is an alternative lifting system and it allows for smooth, easy operation of your Soft Roman Shades on windows of all sizes. It is equipped with a tension pulley that neatly affixes to the wall or window casing that enhances child safety. The cord loop mechanism, pulley, and cord is white. In addition, 3 Day Blinds offers the loop cord in sand and raw umber as a no charge upgrade.
Cordless
Cordless shades are raised and lowered with a handle mounted to the bottom rail. This option gives the window a clean, cord free appearance and is safer for children and pets. A telescoping reach pole is available for shades mounted in higher locations.
Motorized
Soft Roman Shades can be ordered with a motorized head rail that lifts and lowers the shades with a single or five channel portable remote control. This feature is ideal for operating shades on hard to reach windows and for operating several shades at once with the touch of a button. Soft Roman Shades can even be programmed to automatically open and close at specific times of the day and night. Elimination of lift cords is also safer for children and pets.
Flat Roman Shade
This is a tailored shade and has no horizontal seams across the front of the shade, giving the shade simple, clean lines for a more modern look. When shades are raised, the shade creates neat folds along the bottom, creating a small stacking space. This style of Flat Roman Shades works well with most fabrics and is available with the Top-Down Bottom-Up Operating System that includes a fabric valance. Please note, shades wider than 90” wide will not be available with a cord lock and will come standard with a pulley and cord cleat.
Relaxed Roman Shade
For subtle gathering and gracious curves, choose our Relaxed Roman Shades. A versatile flat shade that pulls up in a relaxed, loose fashion, developing a slight scallop along the bottom edge as it is raised. The Relaxed Roman Shade from 3 Day Blinds performs well with most fabrics. The softer, more pliable fabrics fall into a scallop more easily, while stiff, full-bodied fabrics have less of a tendency to scallop. Please note that inside mount shades may have a light gap where the sides draw up.
Hobbled Roman Shade
Popular for its straight, horizontal lines, this classic style has cascades from the top to the bottom of the shade. Hobbled Roman Shades from 3 Day Blinds work well with most fabrics. Lightweight fabrics drape down more than tightly woven fabrics. Full-bodied fabrics have a tendency to project forward more. Please note that shades wider than 90” will not be available with a cord lock and will come standard with a pulley and cord cleat.
Classic Roman Shades
Our Classic Roman Shade is a designer favorite that offers a flat shade with horizontal seams sewn across the width of the shade. This style pulls up into neatly tailored folds. Classic Roman Shades work well with most fabrics and are a smart style option for those who prefer a more structured shade or want to add visual interest, especially in solid fabrics. Please note that Classic Roman Shades with patterns will not match up across horizontal seams. In addition, shades wider than 90”will not be available with a cord lock and will come standard with a pulley and cord cleat. Maximum size for this style is 108”x108”.
Casual Roman Shade
Informal yet elegant, our Casual Roman Shades feature a center pleat at the upper edge and are versatile enough to work well with most fabrics. Soft, pliable fabrics fall easily into a “smile” scallop, while stiffer, more full-bodied fabrics may require more dressing. Inside mount shades may have a light gap where the sides draw up.
Gathered Roman Shade
This classic-type of shade has minimal gathering across the top and, when raised, the shade draws up in large sections forming wings on each side. Gathered Roman Shades from 3 Day Blinds work best with soft, pliable fabrics. A slight tendency for wrinkling should be considered when selecting a fabric for Gathered Roman Shades. Please note, inside mount shades may have a light gap where the sides draw up.
