  • Original visit from Consultant on August 19 resulted in a small order for two replacement Pleated Fabric Shades for our bedrooms for a total cost of $500. We paid $300 on order with another $200 to be paid after installation. Based on the company name, we assumed a 72-hour time frame after the order was placed. Turns out the material was "oversold" and a estimated delivery date of 8/26 - 9/2 was given. After us sending an e-mail asking for a status after no additional information was received, we were informed that the material was out-of-stock and could not be delivered until October 7(almost three months later! It also covered an alternate product, an upgrade according to the consultant. as we had no working window cover on the bedroom window (turning it into a "cave" without any day-time light), we opted for the "upgrade". Finally, the shades were delivered and installed on September 28 and the remaining balance of $200 was immediately charged to my credit card apparently on file with 3-Day-Blind. On the 29th., another charge of $200 was applied to my credit card (duplicate!). It took several calls to customer service to get them to work on the issue. Finally I was informed that it would take about 8 - 10 days to reverse the credit. I also worked with CHASE Bank to remove the charge pending further investigation. That happened the next day. It looks like it has finally resolved itself. In the end, it turns out that the replacement shades, despite the consultants to the contrary, are not equal to the original shades. The are much more transparent and let significantly more light thru and allow a fair amount of movement to be seen from the outside. So, all-in-all a terrible experience that I do not wish on anybody! The company name should be 40-Day-Blinds, not mentioning all our other problems! Pius R Ruf
