FAQs for Measuring and Installing Window Treatments

Whether you are installing your new 3 Day Blinds window treatments yourself or working with our professional team, these answers will help you measure correctly, select the right tools, and use our official product manuals.

Measure the inside width at the top, middle, and bottom, then use the narrowest width. Measure the height at the left, center, and right, then use the tallest height. Confirm your window depth meets the product’s minimum requirement.

Decide on the desired coverage beyond the opening. Add at least 2 to 3 inches to each side for width and 2 to 3 inches above and below for height. Check for obstructions that might block the brackets or cassette.

Minimum depth varies by product and cassette size. Refer to your product manual for the exact depth needed for standard and fully recessed flush mounts.

A steel tape measure, pencil, level, drill or driver, step stool, and the correct screws and anchors. A stud finder and masking tape can improve accuracy.

Locate your product in the list on this page and click to download the specific manual for step-by-step instructions, depth requirements, and bracket placement.
